If your kitchen sink refuses to drain out, or drains out but not completely, you can use a regular wire coat hanger. Just take one end and bend it, to make it look like a hook. Use the hook to remove food leftovers, and other nasty stuff from the drain by inserting the hook into it. Get as much dirt as you can. After that, run very hot water through the drain, and that could get rid of the remaining smaller particles you could not eliminate them using the hook.

The easiest, and by far the quickest way to unclog a drain in your home is by using boiling water. Fill up any container you have that can hold a large capacity of boiling water and start pouring gently into the clogged drain. It may not always work, but try running this method about two or three times, and if nothing good happens, look for other measures.

Caustic soda is another thing that can help you unclog your drain. Using this might be dangerous, because if it touches your skin, you might get some bad burns. Wear some rubber gloves and eye protection to ensure safety and then begin the work. Mix cold water with caustic soda and stir it up. Pour the mixture into the clogged drain and wait for about half an hour, then flush it using boiling water.
